Kiera Mickiewicz Anderson ’99

Alumna profile

Kiera is a proud alumna of St. Francis, and serves as representative for the Class of ’99. As a student at SFHS, she was involved in the arts and liturgical dance, and was part of the first class of SF Players on campus. Kiera took that passion to New York University, majoring in Theatre, with a minor in Irish Studies. Kiera lived in New York for nine years, working as a professional musical theatre actor, teaching artist, and yoga instructor.

She appeared off-Broadway at the Lucille Lortel Theatre, and regionally at Barrington Stage, Florida Stage, PCPA Theatrefest, New Helvetia Theatre, Carousel Dinner Theatre, Allenberry Playhouse, and on tour with Theatreworks USA. Kiera served on the board of Sing For Your Seniors, a non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of seniors through music. She also taught for DARE Dance Program and Arts for All.

After moving to LA in 2008, Kiera received two advanced certifications in yoga, with a focus on therapeutics, and continued to work in the arts as an actor and teaching artist. She also married her sweet husband Bradford and had two beautiful girls, Juna and Finola (Future Troubies, class of 2029 and 2032!). They moved to Sacramento last year to be closer to family, and love being a part of the community.

Kiera currently serves as Asst. to the Sr. VP of the DEA Educational Foundation and National Project Consultant for the DEA Youth Dance Program, a non-profit organization offering free dance classes to at-risk and underserved youth in over 50 cities as an alternative to drugs and violence. She is working towards a Masters in Drama in Education through Trinity College Dublin.
