Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director

The St. Francis Catholic High School Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director will be a passionate educator who is deeply committed to Catholic, faith-based education and student success. The teacher is a subject matter expert who knows how to build a positive classroom culture focused on learning, uses student learning data to drive his or her work, and delivers engaging rigorous instruction. The teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. In collaboration with the Director of the Arts, the Technical Director, and Administration, the person in this position will oversee the productions of the co-curricular theater program. This position is a part-time teaching position for the 24/25 school year and includes additional compensation for directing St. Francis Catholic High School theatrical productions, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.

Range of pay for the teaching portion of the position is based onthe teacher salary schedule. Rate of pay for directing the theatrical productions is $10,000-$14,000 per year.

The Counselor at St. Francis Catholic High School supports a caseload of approximately 240-250 students through their four-year academic program. The Counselor counsels students in areas of academic planning and achievement, career and internship planning, and personal and social development. While supporting the spiritual, intellectual, social and psychological development of each student, the Counselor collaborates with the College Advisor to assist the students in selecting college and career choices. This is a full-time position.

This is a part-time position, teaching a single Advanced Media Production class.

Salary range is $80,000-$85,000.

The person in this role must possess a high degree of integrity as the position is exposed to sensitive and confidential information. This person must exercise good judgment and be able to make sound decisions without supervision. This is a full-time, hourly position.
