Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director

The St. Francis Catholic High School Theater Arts Teacher and Theatrical Director will be a passionate educator who is deeply committed to Catholic, faith-based education and student success. The teacher is a subject matter expert who knows how to build a positive classroom culture focused on learning, uses student learning data to drive his or her work, and delivers engaging rigorous instruction. The teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. In collaboration with the Director of the Arts, the Technical Director, and Administration, the person in this position will oversee the productions of the co-curricular theater program. This position is a part-time teaching position for the 24/25 school year and includes additional compensation for directing St. Francis Catholic High School theatrical productions, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.

Range of pay for the teaching portion of the position is based onthe teacher salary schedule. Rate of pay for directing the theatrical productions is $10,000-$14,000 per year.

The St. Francis Catholic High School Advanced Media Production Teacher will be a passionate educator who is deeply committed to Catholic, faith-based education and student success. This position includes oversight of the school production studio, including student use of the studio, whether in class or via after-school club membership. The person in this position will be responsible for engaging students in video productions in support of school initiatives, such as the annual auction, Open House, and other marketing events and fundraisers. The teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. This is a part-time position, teaching a single Advanced Media Production class.

Salary range is $80,000-$85,000.

Digital Media Strategist

The Digital Media Strategist at St. Francis Catholic High School is primarily responsible for the creative visual storytelling of St. Francis Catholic High School and its students, staff, and faculty across all platforms. The person in this position leads and maintains our social media presence across all digital channels and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment to develop innovative, effective, and comprehensive social media strategies for the school. This position analyzes and reports the performance of key digital and paid social campaigns to the Director of Strategic Marketing and Communications. Independently assessing the school calendar and determining the opportunities, the person in this position will build out a social media content calendar. In addition, this person is responsible for all other key digital marketing campaigns including web, email, and various display advertising internally and externally for the school. The person in this role collaborates with other departments across campus with a variety of marketing campaigns, and media and online strategies. The overall goal of this position is to assist in increasing interest and philanthropic support of the school while enhancing the engagement of current and prospective families, alumnae, and donors, and cultivating community awareness and involvement at St. Francis Catholic High School. As such, this position works regularly and closely with the Director of Advancement and Director of Enrollment Management. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Range of pay is $66,000-$68,000

The Campus Minister for Christian Service is responsible for managing the overall Christian Service Program at St. Francis Catholic High School. The Campus Minister for Christian Service empowers and motivates students to participate in Christian Service by promoting upcoming and ongoing service opportunities, independently creates successful Christian Service experiences that better teach the students about themselves, the world and their faith, and creates, cultivates, and maintains relationships with non-profit organizations in the Sacramento area, using discretion and judgment to determine which organizations best support the school mission. The person in this role ensures that Christian Service is Gospel-based and aligns with Catholic teachings. The Campus Minister for Christian Service also independently researches, plans, and leads summer service opportunities, both locally and as direct service immersion trips. Campus Ministers must be active, practicing Catholics. This is a full-time, exempt position.

Robotics Assistant Coach

The Robotics Assistant Coach at St. Francis Catholic High School is an hourly position that helps to operate the St. Francis Robotics Team, Geneseas, under the direction of the Head Coach. The work of this Academic Team Assistant Coach will specialize in project engineering, program management, electronics, computer programming and business. The Assistant Coach meets with the team weekly in the fall and more frequently in the spring. The team work culminates in the design and development of a robot for participation in competition, including the MATE Competition. This is an occasional, part-time position.

Choreographer
Employment Opportunity

The Choreographer at St. Francis Catholic High School will design and direct dances in the fall musical production under the Director’s guidance. The Choreographer will work closely with the Director to create memorable dance pieces. The chief responsibility of the Choreographer will be to interpret the director’s vision into dances with the appropriate pacing, style, and movements. This person will work closely with the student performers, teaching specific movements and how to incorporate them into the larger piece. This person must be available to attend auditions and rehearsals as scheduled.
