Assistant Principal

Under the direction of the Principal, the Assistant Principal at St. Francis Catholic High School is responsible for monitoring and supporting curriculum, instruction, and student life.  The AP assists the Principal in supporting the policies, regulations and procedures that ensure all students are supervised and educated in an inclusive, safe, traditional Catholic college-preparatory environment that fosters the mission of the Roman Catholic Church.  Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, curriculum development, instruction, extra and co-curricular activities, management and coordination of the academic personnel and staff, and communication with the St. Francis Catholic High School community.  The Assistant Principal at St. Francis Catholic High School must be an active, practicing Catholic..

He or she is a subject matter expert that knows how to build a positive classroom culture focused on learning, uses student learning data to drive his or her work, and delivers engaging rigorous instruction.  The Teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. The Theology Teacher is expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration.  The Theology Teacher at St. Francis Catholic High School must be an active, practicing Catholic.  This position will be teaching Catholic Social Justice and The Moral Life in Christ at the senior (12th grade) level.

The Campus Minister for Retreats at St. Francis Catholic High School works in collaboration with the Campus Ministry Team to foster the spiritual growth and development of the students.  Through retreats, liturgical events, and spiritual activities, this position cultivates student participation in all faith-centered happenings that involve the St. Francis community.  The Campus Minister for Retreats at St. Francis Catholic High School must be an active, practicing Catholic.  This position is a regular, 11-month position.

Administrative Assistant to the Dean of Students

Under general supervision, the Assistant to the Dean of Students at St. Francis High School coordinates, oversees, and/or performs a wide variety of administrative support activities for the Dean of Students.  This position is responsible for attendance tracking, discipline processing, and support of the Wellness Counseling office.  This position also provides backup front office support to the Front Desk Administrative Assistant and can be the first line of greeting for guests.  The person in this role must possess a high degree of integrity as the role is exposed to sensitive and confidential information.  This person must exercise good judgment and be able to make sound decisions with minimal supervision.  This is a non-exempt 10-month position.

The role of the Water Polo Head Varsity Coach is to be responsible for coaching the varsity team as well as providing instruction and development of the lower level team (Junior Varsity). In addition, the Head Coach will be responsible for character development and providing direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork in Water Polo. The Water Polo Head Varsity Coach must interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community and well as follow the mission of the school.

Freshman Volleyball Assistant Coach

The Assistant Coach will report to the Head Coach and will assist in the management of the freshman volleyball program.  In coordination and under the direction of the Head Coach, the Assistant Coach will provide direction to student athletes so that they might achieve a high level of skill as well as an appreciation for discipline, sportsmanship and teamwork. The person in this job is required to interact thoughtfully and respectfully with student athletes, fellow coaches, staff, parents and community as well as follow the mission of the school.  The Assistant Coach is expected to contribute to and uphold a physically and emotionally safe environment for students to learn and thrive.

Camp Troubie, Jr. Co-Teacher

The Camp Troubie, Jr. Co-Teacher leads classes during the one-week Camp Troubie, Jr. summer program at St. Francis Catholic High School, along with two other Co-Teachers. The camp for rising 1st-4th grade girls will feature arts and crafts, movement activities, and traditional camp activities like games and songs. The people in this position will be enthusiastic, engaging, and are expected to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Sacramento, and to adhere to the directives set by school administration. This position is a temporary, hourly, part-time, one-week position.

Campus Ministry Assistant
Employment Opportunity

The Campus Ministry Assistant is an active, practicing Catholic who provides administrative support to the Campus Ministry team and department.  This person plays a key support role in campus liturgies, retreats, student ministry events, community celebrations, and Christian service opportunities.  In collaboration with the other members of the Campus Ministry team, the Campus Ministry Assistant is responsible for the efficient functioning of the department and its spiritual support of the faculty, staff, students, and families.  This position is a full-time, 11-month position.
