Alumnae News: Alumna Madison Carnahan ’16 participated in the University of Kentucky’s 24-Hour dance marathon raising money for pediatric oncology research at the University of Kentucky’s children’s hospital and Markey Cancer center.

She competed for 24 hours straight for Kappa Alpha Theta’s team and was among the top 40 fundraisers out of 954 dancers.

“My favorite part about it was seeing all the families and children who have been directly affected by cancer and who are being helped by this dance marathon and hearing their stories,” said Carnahan. The event is in its 12th year and raised a record $1.7 million this year
