The Troubadour spring sports season heads into its final stretch, with all teams in some form of postseason play. Track & field heads to Sheldon-Pleasant Grove Community Stadium for the Delta League championship trials this Saturday, with the finals taking place one week later. On Sunday, lacrosse will learn its opponent in the North Coast Section tournament. Swimming, which represented St. Francis at the California Catholic Challenge last weekend, has a bye weekend before the start of the CIF-SJS championships on Thursday (May 5). The divers competed at the section championships at McClatchy on Friday.

The only St. Francis team still in regular-season mode is softball, although the squad has perhaps the fullest slate of games with playoff implications. The Troubies visit Vista Del Lago on Monday, host Franklin on Tuesday, head to area powerhouse Sheldon on Thursday, then make a Saturday trip to Napa to take on Vintage.

Looking ahead, Troubie softball will host their Booster-Q on the Tuesday, May 10 game against Pleasant Grove. However, we are looking to bring as large a crowd as possible to that game, not only to honor the five SFHS softball seniors, but also to participate in a noise level test for the proposed aquatics center.

As always, updates and news are available at GoTroubies.com.
