Kim Menzel, MHA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, is the Senior Vice President and Area Manager for the Roseville Area.

Kim joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009 where she has led operational activities and programs relative to day-to-day hospital operations through the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality services. She has worked in all aspects of the organization, successfully leading the development and execution of key strategies that differentiate Kaiser Permanente from its competitors in the area of service, clinical excellence, and utilization management.

Kim began her nursing career in 1990 at El Camino Hospital in Mountain View as an oncology nurse. In 2002, she joined Sutter Health in Solano County where she served as the Director of Women’s and Children’s Services and later as the Chief Nurse Executive. She joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009 as the Chief Nursing Officer at Kaiser Permanente Roseville Medical Center. From 2012 to 2016, Kim served as the COO and CNE at our Vacaville Medical Center where she opened Maternal Child Health/Labor and Delivery services and helped secure Kaiser Permanente’s second Level II Trauma Center designation.

In 2016, Kim returned to Roseville as the COO and has worked on several high-priority projects, including Care Without Delay, a program designed to significantly improve patient throughput and ensure our members get the care they need, when they need it.

Kim earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Health Care Administration. She is a Board-Certified Nurse Executive through American Nurses Credentialing Center, a member of the Association of California Nurse Leaders, American Organization of Nurse Executives, and the American College of Healthcare Executives, and graduated from the Executive Leadership Program at Harvard in 2018.

Kim takes a great deal of pride in her community. She is past President of the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and sits on the Board of Directors for the Greater Sacramento Economic Council. She has recently served on the Boards for Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada, Sacramento Metro Chamber of Commerce, and Child Advocates of Placer County.
