God of Hope,

You created our common home 
where we get glimpses of hope 
with each new sunrise,
with each act of compassion, 
and every new friendship.

Son of God,

Your life of prayer and action shows us 
that even in the darkest of times, 
God walks with us toward a new light.

Spirit of God,

You act in the simplicity of an open heart.
Enkindle in us now a willingness to 
become beacons of hope in our world.
