Dear St. Francis Families,

This week marked the beginning of the last quarter, as well as course registration for the 2022-2023 school year. The remaining eight weeks of this semester are going to move pretty quickly. I ask that you keep an eye on the calendar and subsequent announcements to stay on top of all the end of year events.

I’m also happy to report that on Wednesday, March 9th, our Admissions Department welcomed the Class of 2026 to our annual Freshmen Registration Night. We are proud to welcome our newest Troubies and their parents to our school community.  I can’t wait for their journey to begin and I know personally, just how much they will gain from this incredible opportunity and sacrifice.  On behalf of our faith-based community, I look forward to seeing these young women blossom into who God is calling them to be.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!

Dear St. Francis Families,

This week marks the end of the 3rd Quarter, as well as course registration for the 2022-2023 school year. The remaining nine weeks of this semester are going to move pretty quickly.  I ask that you keep an eye on the calendar and subsequent announcements to stay on top of all the end of year events.

Not that I’m counting, but Easter Break is only five weeks away! While it may appear like an eternity to our Troubies, it will be here before they know it. Please continue to motivate your daughter/s to get them that much needed break. Encourage them to plan ahead and meet with their teachers and Guidance Counselors if needed, that way they can enjoy the break before they return to finish off the semester.

It was a pleasure seeing parents and grandparents at our Ash Wednesday Mass this week, helping our Troubies enter Lent in the proper spirit.

In preparation of the Lenten Season, I leave you with this closing prayer:

Dear God, you sent your Son, Jesus, into the world so that we might always enjoy your peace. Give us the strength to live as your children and to be makers of peace and unity. Grant that all peoples might put aside their differences and seek the unity of your Kingdom. We make this prayer to you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!

Dear St. Francis Families,

This has been a short, but busy, week. It’s hard to believe we are almost at the end of February, and the end of the 3rd Quarter is only a week away. We are cognizant this time of year brings some added stress, as Christian Service hours are due on Friday, March 4th. Please reassure your daughter/s there is still time to improve their overall grade/s, and meeting with teachers now is better than waiting until the end of the semester.

Also, a brief reminder to our Sophomore families that Sunday, March 6th, is our Sophomore Family Mass.  We prepare our Class of 2024 for the transition to Junior year, and participate in the ceremonial blessing of their pins and/or rings. I look forward to seeing you all there!

Thank you to all the staff and volunteers who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes to put together what promises to be another very successful Crab Feed this weekend.  We wish everyone a safe and joyous time together.

May God continue to bless your daughters and give them courage to be a force of Pax et Bonum here at St. Francis, and wherever else He may call them to be.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!

Dear St. Francis Families,

Last week, official acceptance letters went out to our new Troubies and their families. The Class of 2026 will formally come to St. Francis in a few short weeks to register for their classes. We are so excited to welcome all of our new families, and look forward to a fun, faith-filled, and rewarding four years together.

I’d also like to welcome our newest Board member, Dr. Caron Houston. We are blessed to have had the opportunity to broaden the members who serve  the mission of St. Francis Catholic High School with such dedication.

This week, we observed our annual Faculty Appreciation Week, in which we celebrate our wonderful faculty and staff, for their commitment to educating all of your daughters. We can’t do what we do without the support and dedication of the 128 “staffulty” members that make the St. Francis experience so unique. Please keep these dedicated professionals in your prayers, as we continue to navigate through the remainder of the 2021-2022 school year.

Dear Lord, thank you for all those men and women who have given their talents to educate our young women. We thank them for their hard work and dedication, and we pray that they may continue to work in support of our school.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us!
St. Clare of Assisi, pray for us!
