How to Register for Freshman Courses
The Counseling and College Center manages the freshman course registration process. In order to register for your classes, please complete the following steps:
- Watch the short (5 minute) Freshman Course Registration video. Feel free to pause the video to read the slides.
- Review the Class of 2028 Course Registration FAQs
- Print out the Class of 2028 Freshman Course Request Form
- Complete the Class of 2028 Freshman Course Request Form and bring it with you to Freshman Welcome Night on March 13, 2024
The Counseling Department will be available from 4:30-6:00 pm on March 13th to collect your completed forms and answer any questions you may have. You can also email counseling@stfrancishs.org with questions and a member of the Counseling Department will reach out to you. We look forward to meeting you on Freshman Welcome Night!

Challenge Tests
St. Francis offers incoming freshmen optional challenge
tests in Math and Foreign Languages. Freshmen wishing to
take Algebra 1 or a first-year Language class do NOT
need to take a challenge test.
Challenge Test dates and times
The optional challenge tests are held Saturday, March 2,
2024 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Language tests are held from
9:00 am to 10:00 am and Math tests begin at 10:15 am.
A makeup day for Challenge Tests is held Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 3:30 to 5:00 pm.

MATH
Freshman Math Options and Pathways
If you wish to take Algebra 1 as a freshman, no math testing is necessary. Nearly half of the freshman class will take Algebra 1 in their freshman year.
If you are currently taking Algebra 1 and would like to take Geometry as a freshman, you will need to take the Geometry challenge test. The Geometry challenge test is sixty minutes long and calculators are not permitted. Geometry Challenge Test List of Topics 2024
If you are currently taking Integrated Math 1, you will need to take the Integrated Math 2 challenge test. The Integrated Math 2 challenge test is sixty minutes long and calculators are not permitted. Integrated Math 2 Challenge Test List of Topics 2024
If you are currently taking Geometry or Integrated Math 2 and would like to take Algebra 2 as a freshman, you will need to take the Algebra 2 challenge test. The Algebra 2 challenge test is ninety minutes long and calculators are permitted. Algebra 2 Challenge Test List of Topics 2024
If you are currently taking Integrated Math 3 or Algebra 2 and would like to take Honors Pre-Calculus as a freshman, you will need to take the Pre-Calculus challenge test. Class of 2028 Welcome Night: March 13, 2024
Freshman Welcome Night is a fun and engaging evening for our new Troubies and their families to get to know each other, learn all about academic and extracurricular opportunities, and be welcomed into the St. Francis family.
Schedule:
4:30 pm – 5:55 pm ( Lower Serra Court, Dining Hall and Gym Foyer)
- Dad’s Club is hosting a BBQ in lower Serra Court
- The Troubie Store will be open for uniform sizing and purchasing logo items
- Parents can meet representatives of SFHS Dad’s Club, Patrons of the Arts, Boosters Club, Grandparents Club, Black Parents Club, and Parents Guild
- Our new Troubies can meet with our Counseling department to turn in their freshman year course requests
- You’ll have the opportunity to do a 15 minute backstage tour of our spring play, Little Women, which opens on March 15th!

order from June 17-23, 2024. No need to order uniforms
before then; freshmen will be emailed all the details.

St. Francis High School uniforms are ordered online through School Uniforms by Tommy Hilfiger. Click here for an ordering instructions pdf that has a convenient QR code you can scan to go directly to the SFHS uniform site, or follow these steps:

2. Where it says Find Your School, enter the code for
St. Francis High School: STFR03. You will
be prompted to choose grade (all), gender (girls) and program
(daily uniform).
