Join St. Francis for our Summer Sports camps open to 2nd through 9th grade girls taught by our wonderful coaches and student players. Coaches will work with campers on the fundamentals for beginners as well as developing skills for the more experienced athlete.
St. Francis’ volleyball coaching staff, led by Alynn Wright, 14-Time Delta River League Coach of the Year and coach of our 12-Time Sac Joaquin Section Champions, hosts this beginning level camp. Players will learn basic skills required for volleyball: how to pass, set, hit, serve, and utilize basic defensive moves. At the end of the week, student athletes will be divided according to skill level for a culminating tournament. Every participant will take home a full-size SF logo volleyball

Soccer Camp is led by Maryclaire Robinson, St. Francis Varsity head coach, alumna, and former UC Davis women’s soccer coach. The program provides the opportunity for student-athletes to become familiar with the St. Francis soccer program and to train in individual soccer techniques on the ball as well as striking and tactical awareness. All elements of the soccer game are emphasized, including warm-up, trapping, dribbling, passing, shooting, small-sided games and stretching to end the session. Both individual fundamentals and team strategies will be accentuated.

St. Francis softball coaching staff will support student athletes in developing the proper skills necessary to compete in softball on a competitive level: fielding infield and outfield, hitting, throwing, and a variety of bunting techniques. The camp will also include pitching and catching techniques proper base running.

Required Items: Cleats, glove, and personal bats. Dress in proper attire to slide on the dirt infield.
JV head coach Paul Brust, with the assistance of current Troubie Laxers, will help campers explore the growing face pace sport of Women’s Lacrosse. Skill development, stick work and team bonding will all be emphasized in this beginner level week long camp. This is a fun, low stress environment to learn a new sport. Wear athletic clothes and cleats, and bring your water bottle. If you have your own stick and goggles bring those too but they are not mandatory.

Basketball Summer Camp is staffed by Head Varsity Coach Heather Brownholtz and coaching staff of St. Francis High School’s 8-Time Sac-Joaquin Section and 2016 NorCal Division Championship teams. Current varsity players provide assistance. For girls entering 5th through 9th grades, the camp will teach fundamental skills including dribbling, passing, rebounding, and shooting. The week ends with players divided into teams and playing competitive games.
