St. Francis Catholic High School Proudly Announces its New Assistant Principal
St. Francis Catholic High School is proud to announce Heather Moloney as its new Assistant Principal. Moloney, who is an alum of St. Francis Catholic High School, has been serving as the social studies department chair for the past eight years. She will assume her new role effective Monday, August 1.
“The work St. Francis does in providing an all-girls Catholic education is so important. I want to ensure the traditions, high standards, support, and inclusivity of the school continue for many generations to come,” said Moloney.
Final Forms
All new and returning families are required to update their emergency information in Final Forms no later than August 1. We ask for these forms to be signed once each year, and the site is available throughout the year so parents can update the information if needed.
Students: Sign-Up to be an Epicurean Intern
All students are invited to become a part of the Epicurean team in the St. Francis Dining Hall.
Class of 2026 & Transfer Student Chromebook Pick-Up
Chromebooks for the Class of 2026 and transfer students can be picked up in Room 332 on July 27 (8:00am-12:00pm) and August 1 (3:00-5:00pm).
PowerSchool Portal and Schoology Access for the Class of 2026 & Transfer Students
New parents and students will be emailed login instructions for the PowerSchool Portal and Schoology, on August 5.
Reminders from Athletics
Please mark your calendars now for the fall sports parent meeting: Thursday, August 18 at 6:00pm in the St. Francis gym. This provides an opportunity to meet your daughter’s coaches, learn team and department policies and procedures, and find out what parent service opportunities are available.
School Picture Day
Yearbook ID photos are taking place on August 8th and 9th for all students in the gym. Red polo shirts are required for ID pictures.
- Sophomores, Juniors & Seniors: Monday, August 8th (10:00am-noon)
- Freshmen: August 9th (8:00am-noon during Freshman Orientation)
- Picture Make-up day will be on August 16th (9:00am-2:30pm)
Freshman Orientation & Overnight Retreat
Freshman Orientation is on Tuesday, August 9th and Freshman Overnight Retreat is on Friday, August 12th to Saturday, August 13. St. Francis Catholic High School is proud to announce and welcome Ryan Chisolm as its new director of athletics. Chisolm, who previously served as the Associate Athletic Director at University High School in San Francisco, will assume his new role effective July18. We are thrilled to welcome Ryan to the St. Francis community.

We are excited and preparing for the return of your daughter/s in a matter of weeks. I hope you’re enjoying the time away and basking in some fun summertime adventures. While it’s not even August yet, and still plenty of summer days to enjoy, we are actively planning for the return of our Troubies. I am looking forward to a great year at St. Francis, and know you are as well.
Dr. Fadia Desmond Named President, CEO of St. Francis Catholic High School
St. Francis Catholic High School is proud to announce and welcome Dr. Fadia Desmond as its new president and CEO. Desmond, who previously served at St. Francis as assistant principal from 2015-2018, and has spent the last four years at Jesuit High School in the same role, will assume her new post in July. We are thrilled to welcome her home.
Class of 2022 and Chromebooks
The Class of 2022 students do not need to return their school-issued Chromebooks. They are theirs to keep. Their SF email addresses will be active until August 30, 2022. After that date, students will lose access to data not moved over to a personal account. Instructions on how to transfer all Google data from their SF account to a personal email were sent to students on Wednesday, May 18, and will be available at diploma pick up. Students Must Clean Out Their Lockers By 5/27/22
Parents: Please remind your daughter/s that her lockers must be completely cleaned out no later than 5/27/22. Students may not store items in their lockers over the summer, as they have to be deep cleaned.
Any items left in the lockers after 5/27/22 will be donated or thrown away. Thank you for your assistance.
Athletic News – 5/20/22
The St. Francis school year may be over, but the athletics season continues for several of our top student-athletes. The softball team earned a No. 2 seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs and won its first-round game against Cordova on Tuesday. The Troubies improved to 24-3 overall with that victory, extending one of the finest years in school history. Meanwhile, the track & field season marches on with the SJS Masters Meet in Davis this weekend. The top finishers in each event will earn trips to the CIF state championships next week.

Our summer bookstore is open for purchases on May 15. Students can search for their required summer school textbooks and summer reading books through the MBS site (CLICK HERE). Want to get a start on purchasing books for the 2022-2023 school year? Students have been emailed the full textbook list. The regular school year book store will open in early July.
