Back To School Checklist 2022

July 6, 2022

Dear St. Francis Families,

We are excited and preparing for the return of your daughter/s in a matter of weeks. I hope you’re enjoying the time away and basking in some fun summertime adventures.  While it’s not even August yet, and still plenty of summer days to enjoy, we are actively planning for the return of our Troubies.  I am looking forward to a great year at St. Francis, and know you are as well.

Class of 2022 and Chromebooks

The Class of 2022 students do not need to return their school-issued Chromebooks. They are theirs to keep.  Their SF email addresses will be active until August 30, 2022.  After that date, students will lose access to data not moved over to a personal account.  Instructions on how to transfer all Google data from their SF account to a personal email were sent to students on Wednesday, May 18, and will be available at diploma pick up.   If students need assistance, they can reach out to the Technology Department at

Students Must Clean Out Their Lockers By 5/27/22

Parents: Please remind your daughter/s that her lockers must be completely cleaned out no later than 5/27/22.  Students may not store items in their lockers over the summer, as they have to be deep cleaned.

Any items left in the lockers after 5/27/22 will be donated or thrown away.  Thank you for your assistance.

Athletic News – 5/20/22

The St. Francis school year may be over, but the athletics season continues for several of our top student-athletes. The softball team earned a No. 2 seed in the Sac-Joaquin Section Division II playoffs and won its first-round game against Cordova on Tuesday. The Troubies improved to 24-3 overall with that victory, extending one of the finest years in school history. Meanwhile, the track & field season marches on with the SJS Masters Meet in Davis this weekend. The top finishers in each event will earn trips to the CIF state championships next week.

Athletic News – 5/13/22

While St. Francis students wrap up final examinations, many of our student-athletes enter a different type of final test in the form of section and state postseason playoffs. Softball will enter the Sac-Joaquin Section tourney as one of the top seeds, while a gifted crew of track & field athletes will head to Davis for the SJS Masters Meet. The top finishers at that meet will advance to the CIF state meet on May 27-28. Stay tuned to for details.

Accident Takes Life of Current Parent

Dear St. Francis Community,

I am saddened to report that the Jesuit community has suffered another loss with the death of Jennifer (JJ) Fox, mother of sophomore Max Diepenbrock and Ava Diepenbrock. She is also aunt to sophomore Declan Fox, sophomore Thomas Fox, freshmen Ben and Gavin Vernekoff, and junior Sam Vernekoff. Max’s sister, Ava Diepenbrock, is a senior at St. Francis High School.

Jennifer and her friend died in a plane crash on Friday afternoon.

Athletic News – 5/06/22

As the school year winds down, several spring Troubies are doing their best to rewrite the school record books in their respective sports. Lacrosse midfielder, Zahra Smith, wrapped up her career in this week’s North Coast Section playoff battle with Marin Catholic, setting a program benchmark of 58 goals. Small wonder that she’s moving on to play collegiate ball at Delaware State next year. Senior pitcher, Hope Jenkins, struck out her 200th opponent this week against Franklin, making her the first player in the MaxPreps-recorded era of St. Francis to hit that milestone.

Upcoming Senior Events

We are so excited for the upcoming events to celebrate with our Senior class! Please take a look at the details for the events in the attached document. Continue looking at your emails during this time, as well as the Baccalaureate and Graduation page on the website.
