CLARIFICATION REGARDING CIF BYLAW 600 ANNOUNCEMENT: The CIF announced this past week that it has ended it’s suspension of Bylaw 600.  Once again, as in typical years, “A student on a high school team becomes ineligible if the student competes in a contest on an outside team, in the same sport, during the student’s high school season of sport.”  Bylaw 600 does not restrict practicing and conditioning with an outside team, only competition during the high school season of sport.  As any games/meets/competitions that an ineligible student participates in fo


Sophomore Family Mass – February 21, 2021

We will be streaming our Sophomore Family Mass via Zoom on February 21st at 10:30 a.m. (Link for the Zoom will be sent to students the week of).

There will be a drive through from 12:15 -1:00 p.m. for families to pick up a Pax et Bonum pin and class rings. We will also have blessings of sentimental jewelry and family picture opportunities.

Virtual Sophomore Retreat - February 23-24

Sophomore families - we are so excited to be offering a virtual Sophomore Retreat to our Maries. The retreat, Finding Strength In God, will take place in two sessions over two days via Zoom. Students will be assigned to small groups, led by senior leaders. During the retreat students will participate in both small and large group activities. We would love for your daughter to attend, so she can have this experience!

IMPORTANT – Announcement from the Dean’s Office

We are again asking for your assistance in reporting to the Dean if your daughter has been directly exposed (close contact) to or tested positive for COVID-19.  Given the high rate of positive numbers in the Sacramento area and the restrictions via the Sacramento County Department of Health, your reporting assists us in providing the safest educational setting possible. If your daughter has tested positive, and even if she is distance learning, please let Mrs.


Crab Feed: SOLD OUT!

We can’t believe it!  We are sold out!  WOW!  Tickets are sold out for one of the only Crab Feeds in town this year! We thank those who have so generously supported this event by purchasing tickets.

For those that purchased tickets, don’t forget to add on our famous SHIPWRECK cocktail or commemorative 80th Anniversary wine and a delicious dessert to end your night on a sweet note.

Athletic News – 1/15/21

  • Cross Country and Water Polo practice will begin on the St. Francis campus on January 19th.
  • XC Red Cohort check-in is 2:30 p.m. on the soccer field. Practice will end at approximately 4:00 p.m.
  • XC Gold Cohort check-in is 3:00 p.m. on the soccer field. Practice will end at approximately 4:30 p.m.
  • Water polo Red Cohort check-in is 4:00 p.m. at the soccer field. Practice will end at 5:00 p.m.

Please triple-check that your FinalForms eligibility is completed and your physical is current.


Patrons of the Arts Meeting - Tuesday, January 12, 5:45 p.m.

We would love to have every parent and grandparent who is interested in the arts to join us during our monthly meetings where we decide how we can support all of the arts classes, programs, and performances/shows. Come to our next meeting, and get to know other adults who are interested in helping out. This month, our guest speaker is Agata Grzelak, SF Dance Teacher. She will talk about her background, what and how dance is taught at SF, and share information about the show that will be streamed January 29 at 7:30 p.m.


Financial Literacy Workshops for ALL Students

The St. Francis Troubies Who Mean Business Club will be hosting a series of financial literacy workshops to support students in their life in high school, college, and beyond. We encourage students of all years to attend the session, offered via Zoom from 3:00-4:00 p.m. on January 28th. The topic is Making Life Choices That Make “Cents.”

Dance Concert “Boxed In” – (January 2021)

Boxed In

The Dance Concert with the SF Dance and Apprentice Companies performed in Jan 2021, our first streamed dance show.

 Dance is a challenging class to teach and learn via zoom but these very talented and committed dancers were able to create a wonderful concert called “Boxed In,” a response to being stuck at home during the COVID pandemic.


Course Registration 2021-2022 (MANDATORY!)

January kicks off the course registration season.  All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors must attend a mandatory Guidance Zoom meeting with their class counselor on Wednesday, January 13th.  Students should choose to attend one presentation at either 8:00 a.m.
