Junior Family Mass – Wednesday, 5/11/22
The Junior Family Mass is coming up on Wednesday, May 11th at 5:30 p.m. in the Gym. This Mass is a celebration of the Maries becoming the campus leaders and all Juniors that attend will receive a special pin with the four pillars of St. Francis High School on it, Faith, Excellence, Leadership, and Service. Please arrive in time to check in, get your pin and prayer card, and find a seat before the start of Mass. We recommend arriving around 5:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there!
College-Related Tips for Senior Parents and Information about Final Transcripts
It’s time for seniors to make a decision about the college they will attend in the fall. If you are concerned about paying for college, ensure that your daughter has checked all of her financial aid award letters (which will most likely be found in her college portal) to determine exactly how much and what types of aid are being offered. Speaking of portals, your daughter should check all of her college portals to determine if they have every document that is required. Final Exam Dates
St. Francis will be holding Spring semester finals on May 13, 16-18. As a reminder, per the Parent-Student Handbook, St. Francis does not offer early finals. Students are expected to be present for all four days of exams. Please be mindful of these dates when making vacation or travel arrangements.
How to verify your 2022-2023 Course Requests in PowerSchool
Students have until Wednesday, May 18, to contact their Class Counselor to make any changes to their course requests. Final schedules will be sent out during summer break.
Athletic News – 4/29/22
The Troubadour spring sports season heads into its final stretch, with all teams in some form of postseason play. Track & field heads to Sheldon-Pleasant Grove Community Stadium for the Delta League championship trials this Saturday, with the finals taking place one week later. On Sunday, lacrosse will learn its opponent in the North Coast Section tournament. Swimming, which represented St. Francis at the California Catholic Challenge last weekend, has a bye weekend before the start of the CIF-SJS championships on Thursday (May 5).

First, congratulations must go out to distance runners, Tatiana Cornejo and Cate Joaquin, who set school records while representing St. Francis at the Arcadia Invitational last weekend. Junior, Maddie Pelfrey, also qualified for the pole vault in the esteemed meet that featured competitors from 29 different states, and we are certainly proud of the way our student-athletes represented us on that stage. Senior Family Reception: Thursday, April 28th
A long-standing St. Francis tradition is back! Each year, to kick off the month of senior festivities, we host a small reception in Serra Court for our graduating seniors and two adult guests. For the Class of 2022, the event will be:
FINAL REMINDER: PARENT SERVICE HOURS – Due TODAY – Friday, April 8th
ALL families have until Friday, April 8th to complete their 25 hours of service (10 hours for parents of seniors) for the 2021-2022 requirement. Parents with two or more students must meet the required service hours for the youngest daughter.
Carpools for the 2022-2023 School Year

The Troubies Who Mean Business Club will be bringing back their speaker series after Easter Break by welcoming alumna, Linnea Willis Smith ’95, to campus for a lunchtime session with Troubies. She’s got a lot of wisdom and experience to share!
I-80 Corridor Bus Service
Do you live along the I-80 corridor between Auburn and Roseville? Are you in need of transportation for your St. Francis student? Why not use the Placer Bus Group? Placer Bus Group has been transporting students to Jesuit and St. Francis High Schools for almost 30 years now! In addition to the cost savings at the pump and the time you save by having them transport your daughter, they will meet other students and make friends on the bus ride. Registration for new families begins Sunday, April 10th.
Revelry Volunteer Opportunities are Posted!
Attention St. Francis Families! Revelry Fire & Ice Auction volunteer opportunities are now posted in MVP. There are many opportunities available for the event day as well as leading up to the event.
Please note, in order to volunteer, you must have a completed Safe Haven certificate on file and cleared fingerprints. These are the Dioceasan requirements to volunteer on campus.
ORbeez Toy Gun Tik Tok Challenge
Dear parents,
Again, there is a dangerous Tik Tok challenge going around the country. Please share this link and discuss with your daughter about the dangers associated with this challenge. All toy guns are banned from campus (a reminder to seniors will be sent during their last week of school). It is important that for the safety of everyone at school or home to understand the gravity of participating in these activities. Thank you for your assistance in helping keep your daughters safe.

A special nod goes out to SFHS head swimming coach, Brian Nabeta, and his Troubie swimmers, who scored an impressive victory at Carondelet on Wednesday. Not only did it mark a rare opportunity for our athletes to compete outside the Sacramento area, but it was a reunion between Nabeta and a former collegiate teammate, Cougar head coach, Roque Santos.
