Rafeld and Urkov Lead Water Polo to Win over McClatchy

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Annie Rafeld and junior Caroline Urkov each scored a career-high four goals to lead St. Francis to a 17-3 win over McClatchy Tuesday night at Jesuit High School.

St. Francis (12-4) scored five goals in each of the first two periods to build a 10-1 lead and added four in the third and three in the fourth to win their 12th game of the year.

Junior Jennalyn Barthels and senior Lauren Charter also added three goals. Junior Sam Reinl found the back of the cage two times and senior Bella Smith scored once.

The Troubies will play an intrasquad on Friday with the JV team before heading to Clovis on Saturday for two games against Clovis West at 10:30 a.m. and St. Francis Mountain View at 1:30 p.m.

The Troubadours will honor their four seniors in their final home contest on Monday, Oct. 20 against Granite Bay at 7:15 p.m. The Junior Varsity will play first at 6:00 p.m. The St. Francis Booster Club will host a BBQ for all fans and players.
