COVID Cases Declining – Weekly Testing On Hold

Email blast

Dear St. Francis Families,

We have seen a marked decrease in our COVID positive numbers. I appreciate that students and parents are continuing to self-report positive cases to the school, and isolating at home to minimize exposure to other students, faculty and staff.

Since we are seeing a decrease in numbers, we will not be testing students or faculty/staff next weekends, Sunday, February 13, 2022. In the interim, please continue to monitor your student/s and keep them at home if they exhibit any cold/flu-like symptoms or do an at-home rapid antigen test to rule out COVID.

Basketball student-athletes and coaches will test on Monday, February 7, 2022 (per CIF requirement). Additional information will be shared from our Athletics Department for this particular group.

Please continue to report any COVID positive or exposure cases to Dean Cost, and we’ll continue to keep you apprised of any COVID exposure/s that may warrant at-home testing in order to clear students to return to school.

If you are having a difficult time finding an at-home test kit, feel free to use the Sacramento County COVID-19 Testing website for additional testing options.

I appreciate your diligence on this matter, as we continue to deal with the effects of the Omicron variant. If there is a need for another testing date in the future, I will let you know. If you have any questions please reach out to Dean Cost at Ccost@stfrancishs.org or Principal Mendoza at emendoza@stfrancishs.org directly.
