News

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Alumna Rachel Huber ’18 recently committed to play soccer at William Jessup University in Rocklin this fall. She will play for Head Coach Constantini and join former teammate Aly Barr on the Warriors roster. Huber was a two-year letter winner for the Troubadours over the last two seasons.

Here is our Q&A with Rachel Huber:

What was attractive about attending Jessup for school?

“Jessup is the right school for me. I’m getting to continue playing competitive soccer and also I will get the opportunity to continue growing in my faith along the way.”

How did the soccer program fit what you were looking for in an athletic experience?

“The soccer program at Jessup is centered around family and teamwork. The head coach is a young female and she’s amazing. The athletic program is close to what club soccer was like for me and everyone has an amazing attitude.”

What do you plan on studying?

“At Jessup, I plan on getting my teaching credentials with a Bachelor’s in Education and a minor in theology.”

What is your favorite thing about the soccer program?

“My favorite thing about the Jessup soccer program would be the coaches and the girls. Everyone treats each other like family.”

What is your favorite memory about your St Francis experience and why?

“My favorite SFHS soccer memory would be my freshman year when we won the Woodland tournament (I had three clean sheets and only allowed two goals) and we went undefeated for the season. That was where I met the majority of all my SFHS friends and it was also my first and best experience with the soccer program.”
