This Week in Troubie Sports…

Basketball and Soccer open their 2016-17 seasons this week. Both teams have home games for all three teams on Tuesday. Soccer travels to Christian Brothers for Holy Cup on Thursday night at Hughes Stadium. All three basketball teams play in tournaments next weekend with varsity in Roseville, JV at Kennedy and Frosh n Pittsburg. For a complete list of Athletic Events, click here.

Holy Cup of Chocolate

St. Francis soccer plays at Christian Brothers in the annual women’s soccer match on Thursday December 8 from 5-9 p.m. (JVG starts at 5, Varsity starts at 7 p.m.) at Hughes Stadium at Sac City College (3835 Freeport Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95822). Free Admission for all spectators, Don’t need your ID or a ticket! Join us between the JV and Varsity games for FREE Holy Cup of Hot Chocolate and cookies!

Troubadour Fall Sports Fantastic Seasons

The St. Francis Troubadours had a fantastic fall athletic season highlighted by a fourth-place finish by the cross country program at the CIF State Championships. Overall, St. Francis recorded three top-10 state finishes among four CIF NorCal appearances. All five fall varsity teams earned playoff berths and made playoff runs in their respective sports. Winter Sports Photo Days

Basketball (Dec. 5) and Soccer (Dec. 8) photos days are next week. Student-athletes have been given forms to pre-order photos and each student must turn in form prior to sitting. For more information go to lifetouchsports.com . Picture Day ID: CR06703×0.

Cross Country Finishes Fourth at State Championships

The St. Francis cross country team finished fourth overall at the CIF State Division II State Championships on Saturday at Woodward Park. It is the fifth consecutive Top 10 finish for the St. Francis and third top-four placement in the last five years. Read the release here.

The St. Francis Student-Athlete Advisory Committee selected Josten’s as the official provider of “Uniform Approved” Varsity Jacket for the St. Francis Troubadours.  Jackers cost $285 which includes your exclusive design on the back, your name and block letter on the front with your grad year date on the sleeve. Volleyball Season Ends in NorCal Semifinals

The St. Francis volleyball team dropped its CIF State NorCal Semifinal match 3-1 at Valley Christian 27-29, 25-15 25-22 25-17 Tuesday night. Read the release here.
