Former Water Polo Standouts Named to All-America Team

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Former St. Francis water polo standouts Kaitlyn Cozens and Marisa Kolokotronis were both named to the 2012-13 NISCA/Speedo Girls All-America Water Polo team. Cozens was named to the first team, while Kolokotronis was a third-team selection.

Cozens, a Michigan signee, was named the Sac-Joaquin Section MVP after scoring 54 goals as a senior. She was a three-time all-section and all-league selection and was named to the 2011 Sacramento River Cats All-City Water Polo team. A four-year varsity letterwinner, Cozens led her team to four section championship games, serving as team captain in her senior season.

Kolokotronis was voted Offensive Player of the Year for St. Francis and selected to the All-Area team for three consecutive seasons. A Brown University signee, she participated in the US Olympic Development Program from 2010 to 2012 and was named team MVP for her club team, American River Water Polo.
