This year marks the 10th anniversary of Pope Francis’
environmental encyclical, Laudato
Si’ - ”On the Care for Our Common Home.” Troubies
representing the Environmental Justice Club, Garden of Eden Club
and the CSLs met with their state representatives at the Capitol
on Monday, April 7 to advocate for bills relating to
protecting clean water, wildfire resources and rights of migrant
children and their parents. They were part of a group of over 400
students from all over California participating in
the Laudato Si’ 10th Anniversary – Care for Creation
Advocacy Summit and Pilgrimage.
