ARCADIA, Calif. – St. Francis’s ariane Arndt, who graduated in 2016, was named the Arcadia Invitational Open Athlete of the Meet a year ago this week.

Arndt won the Open 800 at the Arcadia Invitational for the second consecutive year with a time of 2:10.46, the fourth-best time in the state and just off her school record 2:10.05 set last year at the same meet. She came back to finish fourth in the 400m Invitational in a season-best 55.45, just off her school record of 55.39. Arndt also contributed in both relays, completing a busy day with Kiani Reyna, Elizabeth Hennessy and Lily Enes in the 4×400-meter relay. They won the seeded event in 3:54.34, the third-fastest time in school history.

Arndt closed the race with an epic final lap, passing four schools over the final lap.
