This Week in Troubie Sports…

Cross country runs at the Nike Invitational hosted by DeLaSalle and Carondelet on Saturday looking for their second consecutive win. Frosh and JV Volleyball play in tournaments over the weekend before traveling to Davis on Monday with the varsity team. Golf is at Davis on Tuesday in their only match of the week. Tennis hosts Sheldon on Tuesday before taking on Franklin on Thursday. All three volleyball teams play host to Elk Grove on Wednesday. Both water polo programs compete in tournaments over the weekend. The varsity team plays in the Capital Challenge in Roseville, while the JV team is at Granite Bay. Three Water Polo Standouts Earn Academic All-America Honors

Senior Aubree Barr was among three current and former St. Francis water polo players earned Academic All-America honors from USA Water Polo, the organization announced. Student-athletes needed a 3.6 GPA on a scale of 4.0 to qualify and those that received a 4.0 GPA were honored as outstanding achievers. To read the complete release, click here.

Soccer Information Meeting on Monday (9/19)

Soccer Head Coach Maryclaire Robinson will host a soccer information meeting for ALL interested in trying out for soccer in the spring 2017 season on Monday, Sept. 19 at 3 p.m. in the Old Cafeteria.

Fall Sports Photo Day

Fall sports will be taking Lifetouch photos on Friday, Sept. 16 (Volleyball, Golf, Tennis) and Tuesday, Sept. 20 (Cross Country, Water Polo). Student-athletes who are/were unavailable for their day, can take their shot on the opposite day as a makeup. Fall TroubieTV Schedule Announced

The 2016 TroubieTV schedule will include broadcasts from volleyball, water polo and golf during the fall schedule. The water polo match against McClatchy for the varsity and junior varsity units will be shown Friday afternoon to tipoff the fall season. The freshman volleyball match against Elk Grove on Sept. 21 will showcase the first of several volleyball broadcasts. Click here for a list of upcoming events

Fall Sports Adidas Sales

St. Francis High School has renewed its exclusive partnership with adidas Team Sports for four years. The Portland, Ore., based company will be the official apparel brand of St. Francis Troubadour Athletics through April 2020. St. Francis receives discounts off retail prices on apparel, accessories and footwear while agreeing that all student-athletes and coaches will wear Adidas game uniforms and apparel when applicable during camps, practice, camp or booster functions. The school receives an annual promotional account and discounts on MiTeam uniforms and apparel.

Lacrosse Fall Conditioning

WHEN: Monday & Wednesdays: 3:15-4:30 p.m.
WHERE: Meet in Gym Foyer
WHAT DAYS: First Day 9/14 – Last Day 12/7 (No conditioning on the following dates: 10/10, 10/24, 10/26, 11/23) 

All levels are welcome – do not bring lacrosse equipment to conditioning – wear athletic clothes and comfortable running shoes. Conditioning will be organized and lead by the senior class with oversight from the Varsity Coaches. Activities will include, running, strength training, and lacrosse skills. MUST have physical on file before beginning conditioning.
