SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Four players scored in double figures as St. Francis rolled to an 85-36 win over Sheldon Friday night to improve to 4-0 in Delta League play.

“It was a lot of fun tonight,” said freshman Jackie Koerwitz, who scored five points and grabbed a career-high eight rebounds. “Everyone got to play a lot and show how hard they have been working in practice. “

Senior starter Kyra Huffman had a team-best 16 points and eight boards, while Lauren Craig contributed 12 points and 10 rebounds, recording her 14th double-double of the season and ninth straight. Janae Fairbrook added 11 points to go with four assists and five steals and junior Julia Razo scored a career-high 14 points.

“It feels really good,” said Koerwitz. “Since it is my first year, I am excited that we are undefeated still in league.”

St. Francis jumped out to a 20-2 advantage in the first quarter and led 44 -12 at the break.

“We started off 13-2 and all of us got to join in and play,” said Koerwitz. “It got better and better from there.”

Senior Angie Ortiz got in the action in the third quarter, nailing a pair of three pointers. Sophomore Kelly Kraeger scored a career-high six points in the fourth quarter and classmate Logan Kelly added two baskets to set her career-high.

“It was really fun to have everyone contribute because that does not always happen,” said Kraeger. “It was cool because everyone not only scored one basket but a good amount of points.”

In fact, all 10 players who saw action in the game scored two or more baskets in the game.

St. Francis (13-3, 4-0 Delta) returns to the court on Saturday afternoon to host Sacramento Bee ranked No. 3 Antelope. The Troubadours enter the game with the No. 5 ranking. The freshmen tipoff at 1 p.m. followed by the junior varsity at 2:30 p.m.
