SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Freshman Nika Bagatelos had a career-high 24 points behind six three-pointers and Lauren Pank added 14 in a 60-39 win over Antelope Saturday.

“We been working really well as a team together,” said freshman Lauren Pank. “Whether it is passing, rebounds or shots, we are getting really good teamwork.”

Bagatelos started hot with 10 points in the first quarter and added two threes in both the second and third quarters.

“When the first one went in, it was just feeling right,” said Bagatelos, who is averaging 10.2 points per game.

Pank had a big second quarter with eight points aided by two three-pointers. She added a third triple in the third quarter, completing a rare four-point play.

“In the second half, they were not letting me shoot at all so Lauren picked it up and started hitting some threes and got smashed but made her free throws.”

St. Francis was playing its third game of the week and second day in a row.

“I was really tired last night,” said Bagatelos about the Friday win over Sheldon. “But we had a good warmup and stretch to get us ready for the game today.”

The JV team has won seven straight and owns a 14-2 record with a perfect 4-0 mark in league play.

Jorie Keitges added 10 points as the third player in double figures. Megan Austin added four points and Adrienne Graybill, Nicole Frank, Morgan Kaeser and Ally Gage each contributed two points.
