SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Susie Rogers had seven points, seven steals and 10 assists to lead St. Francis to a 78-31 victory Tuesday night. Rogers was one of three players in double figures.

“Our passing was probably the best we have had this season,” said Rogers, who was just three points and three steals short of a triple double. “We played really well as a team so it feels good.”

St. Francis (12-5) won their third consecutive game and second straight Delta League contest to improve to 2-3.

“The key was our defense and being patient on offense,” said Rogers. “We did rush anything while still playing up tempo. We have a lot of momentum.”

The Troubadours played one of their best games of the season.

“I thought the intensity was there,” said Pitton. “The passing was almost an art form tonight. We really shared the ball and ran the ball so well. They are learning how to transition out of our 1-3-1 really well. Susie crafted a marvelous game out there.”

Lauren Craig had a game-high 19 points and 15 rebounds, while sophomore Janae Fairbrook scored 17 and recorded seven assists.

“Lauren ran the floor really well and crashed the board,” said Pitton. “Kyra picked it up in the second half. Between the two of them they really dominated the inside. It opened opportunities on the outside and we were able to knock down some threes as well.”

St. Francis made seven three-pointers in the contest. Fairbrook hit three, while Yvonna Molodanof added two as part of her seven-point effort. Isabel Soloaga and Maureen Cobile each added a triple.

St. Francis travels to Monterey Trail on Friday. All three levels will be in action starting with the freshmen at 4:00 p.m.
