CSF Drop in Peer Tutoring

CSF Drop in Peer Tutoring will resume next Wednesday October 20 from 3:00-4:00pm in the Library. Stop by with a specific question/need or stay for the entire hour–all are welcome! Our awesome CSF Peer Tutors are here to help!

Christian Service Fair (10/19/21)

On Tuesday, October 19th, during Community Lunch, there is a Christian Service Fair in the 320-330 hallway. Students can learn about both remote and in-person service options. Campus Ministry staff and CSLs will be available to answer questions about this year’s service requirement and MobileServe. Raffle prizes are available for participating students. Direct your questions about this event to Ms. Villanueva.

NO WAY…THANKFUL THURSDAY IS ONLY THREE WEEKS AWAY!

This once a year event is coming soon and unique because ALL funds raised on Thankful Thursday support the tuition assistance needs for 30% of your fellow Troubies! This is our 10th Annual Thankful Thursday and together we have raised over $1.3 million dollars over the last ten years for our Troubies!

November, Names of Remembrance

On November 1st we will celebrate with a Mass, All Saints Day. As a community of faith each November, we remember and honor those who have gone before us. We give thanks to God for their presence in our lives, and the memories and life lessons they have given us.

Meet a Parent or Grandparent for Lunch!

Attention Troubies!  It is that time of year where you get to invite your parents and/or grandparents to spend lunch with you on campus! This is a fun tradition that allows for your parents and grandparents to get a sneak peek into your Troubie daily life.  Parents and grandparents can bring lunch from off-campus, or enjoy a lunch for purchase from the Serra Court Cafe.

Celebration of the Feast of St. Francis

We will be celebrating St. Francis, Our Patron Saint, on his Feast Day October 4th with a Mass. We will also be offering animal blessings for your pets before school from 7:15 am- 7:45 am and after school from  3:10 pm- 3:40 pm. Blessings will take place in the armory parking lot (same area where Covid testing is done). Collection will go toward St Vincent DePaul’s support of Afghanistan Refugees in Sacramento.

Yearbook: Message from the Editors

Hi, Troubies! We hope you all are having a wonderful week :)) As editors of the yearbook, we just wanted to remind you that the yearbook staff is working hard to capture the events for this year. Please be on the lookout for emails and Google Forms from yearbook or Mrs. Benson and please take the time to respond to them and fill them out. We highly encourage you to partake in these forms and emails so that you can be featured on one of the pages and take part in history. Your participation will really help us create the best yearbook ever!

Optional Testing on Wednesday, October 13 for the Classes of 2022, 2023, and 2024

  • Sophomores, Class of 2024: PreACT
  • Juniors, Class of 2023: PSAT
  • Seniors, Class of 2022: SAT

Students were emailed testing information and must sign up via a Google Form by September 3 in order to take one of these optional tests.  

Any student not taking a test on that day does not need to come to campus.  Regular instruction will resume on Thursday, October 14th.

SFHS Club Membership

We hope students enjoyed browsing the many Student Club offerings during the SFHS Club Rush this past Tuesday and Wednesday.

Sacraments Program – All Are Welcome!

We are excited to announce the start of the Sacraments program at St. Francis this year!

As a group, Troubies will prepare for receiving the Sacraments of the Catholic Church–Baptism, First Communion, & Confirmation–on Easter Vigil, 2022, at St. Mary’s Parish. We will have a great time together preparing for entrance into the Church through lessons, prayer, fellowship, and more! Troubies are welcome to join this group at any stage of their personal faith formation. Meetings will be held weekly at lunch.
