SACRAMENTO, Calif. – Senior Hannah Frech will play water polo at Sierra College next year.

“I have been playing at Sac Polo for the last four years at Sierra College,” said Frech. “I have got to know all the coaches. I am really excited about going there.”

Frech scored six goals and recorded three assists during the season to go with 15 steals, helping the St. Francis team to an appearance in the section championship.

Frech will be following in the footsteps of her brother, who played at Sierra. With her club based at Sierra College, she is comfortable and familiar with the program.

“They are really passionate about the sport and really into helping each player,” said Frech. “When I first started playing, I was little kid who was not aggressive at all. They brought me up to this level and I owe it to them.”

Frech enjoyed her senior season and new leadership of the St. Francis program.

“I loved the team and camaraderie of the whole group,” said Frech. “It was fun and Coach Moody was a lot of fun to play for this season.”

Frech joins teammate Brinnley Barthels among the collegiate commitments from the water polo program in 2013-14 and among 32 overall student-athletes who have signed or committed to play collegiate sports next year.
