Golf Places Fourth in Third Delta League Match

ELK GROVE, Calif. – The St. Francis golf team placed fourth in the final Delta League Center match after shooting a 434 team score, securing a spot in the section playoffs with their second place overall finish in the league points.

Juniors Kate Swanson and Mikia Fang each shot rounds of 82, tying for eighth overall in the field. Gurman Kaur of Franklin shot a course-record 10-under par 62 to earn medalist honors.

Junior Kristi Lee posted a round of 86, while freshman Chase Saca carded an 87. Caitlin Autry shot a 99 and freshman Lauren Liberatore posted a 104.

Swanson and Fang both were named to the All-Delta League based on a Top 8 finish in the season-long points. It is the second honor for Swanson and second for Fang.

St. Francis will host the Sac-Joaquin Division I North tournament on Monday, Oct. 27 at North Ridge CC with a shot gun start at 10 a.m.
