Tennis Posts Shutout Over Elk Grove

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis tennis team improved to 10-1 with a 9-0 win over Elk Grove on Wednesday. The Troubadours lost just a single game in sweeping six singles matches.

Avery Spector, Kyla Jackson, Kiya Jackson, Marisa Fat, Abby Benvenuti and Sabrina Voeller all posted singles win. Myra Anwar and Macy Wood combined for a straight set win at No. 1 doubles. Carmen Orozionez and Cece Crowley were winners at No. 2 and Julia Kucic and Sarah Morris paired for a win at No. 3.

St. Francis has won four consecutive matches overall leading up to important road dual at Franklin on Monday, Oct. 12. Franklin is the only team to defeat the Troubies this season, posting a 5-4 win last month,
