Water Polo Trio Earns Academic All-America Honors

HUNTINGTON BEACH, Calif. – Three St. Francis water polo players garnered Academic All-America honors from USA Water Polo with outstanding achievement designation for qualifying with a 4.0 GPA or better.

The three Troubies include senior Eileen Walsh and juniors Emily Reinl and Lauren Charter.

Walsh was sixth on the team with 16 goals, while recording 12 assists. She added 15 steals. Reinl tied for the team lead in goals with 35 and was fourth overall in points with 43. Charter tied for third on the team with 28 goals with a team-best 18 assists and a team-best 47 steals during the season. She averaged 1.48 points per game, the second-best average on the team. She earned all-section and all-league honors.

Student-athletes needed a 3.6 GPA on a scale of 4.0 to qualify, those that received a 4.0 GPA were honored as outstanding achievers.
