Troubie MUN

Overview

Troubie MUN – This event has been cancelled for 2019
Attention all middle school students!

The St. Francis Model United Nations team invites you to attend TroubieMUN! This one-day conference activity will allow middle school students to practice their debate and negotiation skills with other 6th, 7th and 8th grade students.

Our MUN team will lead committee sessions on a variety of topics, and students will be tasked with finding solutions to the challenges presented in their committees.

This year’s topics:

  • Cali-exit - It’s a national emergency - California may secede from the United States. As the other states forming the country, you must work together to prevent Cali-exit and keep the nation united.
  • Harry Potter - The Ministry of Magic is prioritizing the necessary upgrades to the wizard criminal justice system. You and other characters from the Harry Potter series will reform laws and ensure the safety of the wizarding community in times of crisis.
  • Trapped in a Novel - As a mythological being from the Rick Riordan books (Percy Jackson and other series), you’ll work with other characters to defeat evil villains when the separate worlds of these novels collide in committee.
  • YouTube - In this committee, you’ll represent a well-known YouTuber. Collaborate with other content creators to develop or dismantle regulations regarding demonetization and copyright in uploading new content.
