Medical

Marisa Fat is a first-year medical student at the Burnett School of Medicine at TCU. She graduated summa cum laude from the UCLA Honors Program with a major in Human Biology and Society, where she was the recipient of the UCLA Chancellor’s Service Award and Departmental Honors. Before beginning medical school, she worked as a medical assistant and clinical scribe in Los Angeles for a year. Marisa is passionate about mentorship, bridging student-teacher knowledge gaps, and building leaders in the next generation. At UCLA, she was a Campus Tour Guide, executive board member of Alpha Phi Sorority, and Learning Assistant (LA) for over 500 pre-medical students. As a Sacramento native, she hopes to provide guidance for Troubies interested in working in the medical field. When not studying for exams, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, skiing, fine dining, dancing, fashion, and travel.
