Ways to Give to SFHS

Fundraising is a vital part our culture. We are committed to continuing the St. Francis traditions of faith, leadership, excellence and service.

While tuition covers roughly 85 percent of the operating budget of the school, additional resources are necessary to carry a St. Francis education forward. Through gifts of time, talent, and treasure, the philanthropy of our community supports outstanding programs and facilities, and provides tuition assistance to more than 24 percent of our families.

The Arts at St. Francis

Experience the Arts at St. Francis. Our performance students receive special and statewide recognition at regional theatre and music festivals, visual artists take high honors at county and state competitions and St. Francis dancers perform in concert, special events, competitions and liturgies.

Summer Christian Service Immersion Opportunities
Meeting in the CLC

Sophomores & Juniors are invited to stop by the CLC next Wednesday (2/8/23), during lunch, for an information meeting about this summer’s service trips. Participation in one of these trips will satisfy the Christian Service requirement for the 2023-24 school year. Travel Dates, costs, application timelines, and participation expectations will be discussed. This year’s sites are the Catholic Ecology Center in Wisconsin and Appalachia (Beattyville, KY). Parents will receive more information following the student information meeting.

Camp ReCreation will be in the CLC next Thursday (2/9/23) during lunch for their annual camp counselor recruitment meeting. Students are invited to bring their lunch and learn about the application process and expectations for volunteers. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate. Camp ReCreation will satisfy the Christian Service requirement for the 2023-24 school year.

Christian Service

Christian Service is more than just one of St. Francis Catholic High School’s Four Pillars— it is a cornerstone of school culture. Service experiences provide students with opportunities to wrestle with complex social justice issues while learning the gifts of humility and poverty in spirit as they follow the example of our patron, St. Francis of Assisi. Required volunteer hours also build character, develop leadership and communication skills, and help Troubies gain insight as they walk with those in need.
