SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The St. Francis volleyball team posted a three-set win over Nevada Union Tuesday to remain undefeated at home and improve to 13-3 on the season. It was a matchup between two of the Sacramento Bee’s Top 5 teams.

“There were some spectacular plays tonight,” said Head Coach Alynn Wright. “I was really excited with the transition from defense to offense. We served and passed well. We played good tonight.”

The Troubadours jumped out to a 7-1 lead in the first set before Nevada Union challenged in the middle of the set to pull within 15-12 with a stretch of five straight points. After a timeout by Head Coach Alynn Wright, the Troubadours closed the set on a 10-3 run to close out the first set.

Nevada Union never got any closer, losing each of the last two sets by 10 or more points.

“I am pleased with the progress all the girls are making,” said Wright.

St. Francis returns to the court again Wednesday night to host El Camino. The freshmen play the first match at 4 p.m.
