Amanda has been a registered nurse for 22 years and a nurse practitioner for 14 years, specializing in pediatric psychiatry. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner, she worked as a registered nurse in blood banking, neurology/neurosurgery, and geriatric psychiatry. She is passionate about journeying with young people, and she has done this not only through her professional work, but also by volunteering in youth ministry. Since graduating as a St. Francis Troubie, Amanda has earned her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and doctorate in nursing. She also has specialty training in myofascial release, herbology, and aromatherapy. She is a secular Franciscan, and also serves as the Pastoral Care Coordinator for the Diocese. Amanda loves to hang out with and spoil her 4 nephews and 2 dogs. In her free time she enjoys reading, swimming, cooking, and gardening!
