Athletics News 11/13/15
Water Polo plays Davis at 4 p.m. on Saturday for the Sac-Joaquin Section Championship. Volleyball is in action Thursday (Nov.12) at Granite Bay in the Division II bracket, while tennis had its season end on Veteran’s Day in the section semifinals with a 6-3 loss to Rocklin. Cross country will attempt to qualify this weekend for the state championships on Thanksgiving weekend. They run on Saturday at the section championships in Folsom with all three levels competing for team titles. For a complete look at the athletics schedule, click here.
13 Seniors Make College Commitments
Thirteen St. Francis Troubadours participated in the National Letter-of-Intent and College Commitment Celebration at St. Francis on Wednesday. Senior Ariane Arndt, who will attend California out of the Pac-12 Conference, headlined a class representing seven sports committing to 12 different schools, including five out-of-state school. The schools for the Troubie signees include Brown, Cal, Cal-State Northridge, Colorado State, Fordham, Loyola Marymount, Michigan State, San Jose State, Santa Clara, UCLA, UC San Diego and Yale. Playoff Update
Water Polo plays Davis at 4 p.m. on Saturday for the Sac-Joaquin Section Championship. Volleyball is in action Thursday at Granite Bay in the Division II bracket, while tennis had its season end on Veteran’s Day in the section semifinals with a 6-3 loss to Rocklin.
